Former Cornerstone Action executive director and 2012 GOP gubernatorial candidate Kevin Smith tells Hotline On Call he’s considering a 2014 gubernatorial run:
“I certainly haven’t ruled anything out in terms of running again in ‘14,” Smith told Hotline On Call. “If I did, it would most likely be for governor again.”
Smith lost by almost 40 points in the 2012 primary to eventual nominee Ovide Lamontagne, who went on to fall to now-Gov. Maggie Hassan in the general election.
Since New Hampshire gubernatorial terms only last 2 years, Smith won’t have much time to make up his mind. Smith said he remains in touch with his supporters, but he didn’t put a timetable on his decision.
